What is Beat the Internet?
Beat the Internet is a global daily competition. Every day there is one challenge, everyone plays the same challenge, and every score is ranked against the whole internet. Today's challenge is Snake.
How does the daily challenge work?
A new challenge day starts at midnight UTC. Your best score of the day is your ranked score. When the countdown ends, the day's results are locked in and a new competition begins.
How do you play Snake on Beat the Internet?
Press play and steer the snake with swipes on a phone or the arrow keys on a desktop. Each apple is worth 10 points and the snake speeds up as it grows. Hitting a wall or yourself ends the run.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no email, password or signup. You play first, and can then pick a username to appear on the leaderboard.
How is the leaderboard calculated?
Each player's highest verified score for the day is ranked from highest to lowest. Scores are validated on our servers, and runs that fail validation are excluded.
How can I challenge a friend?
After a game, tap Challenge a friend. That creates a link showing your score. Anyone who opens it goes straight into the same challenge and finds out whether they beat you.
